Obituary of Opal Naomi Goodman

GOODMAN, Opal Naomi (nee: Hollar) age 82 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her home. Opal was born March 02, 1937 in Maysville, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Anna Laura (nee: Turner) Hollar. Opal worked for many years as an Aide for Warren County Developmental Disabilities. In her free time, she loved spending time at the YMCA, enjoyed flowers and animals, especially her dogs and cat, but most of all, she loved her family. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Billy Hollar, and two sisters, Kathleen Hollar and Violet Applegate. She leaves behind sons Leonard Stacey of Fort Myers, Fl, Christopher Stacey of Lebanon, Oh, Kenneth Stacey of Winchester, Oh, James (Kelly) Stacey of Maineville, Oh, George (Jennifer) Stacey of Hudson, Oh, and William (Michele) Stacey of Lebanon, Oh; daughters Debra (Rick) Halcomb of Eaton, Oh and Sherri Stacey of Lebanon, Oh; sister Linda (Sonny) Whalen of Seamen, Oh; grandchildren Betty Jo, Erik, Laura (Brandon), Nathaniel, Hannah, Courtney (Lawrence), Samantha, Jamison, Michael, Justin, Kristiana, Madison, Katelyn, Andrew, and Desiree (Ryan); great-grandchildren Henry, Harlow, Colton, Easton, Connor, Abby, Gavin, Preston, Olivia, Melanie, Hunter, and Tammy; as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, February 24, 2020 from 10am until time of services at 12 noon, all at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Middletown, Ohio, Bishop Gurr officiating. Interment will follow in the Goddard United Methodist Cemetery in Wallingford, Kentucky.
