Obituary of Ronald Eugene Malott

MALOTT, Ronald Eugene age 77 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Saturday, February 08, 2020 at the Dayton VA Medical Center surrounded by his family. Ron was born May 08, 1942 in South Lebanon, Ohio the son of Elmer J. and Mary Edith (nee: Melampy) Malott. Ron was a graduate of Kings Local Schools, and following his graduation he served his country proudly in the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years. Ron loved music, but especially loved karaoke. He also enjoyed watching sports and liked taking trips to the casino. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother Paul Gustin; and sister Emma Strouth. Left behind to mourn his passing are his son Christopher E. (Cindy) Malott of Cincinnati,; daughters Kathryn (Donald) Bruner of Aurora, Indiana, and Rhonda Safford of Valdosta, Ga; step-children Alfredo (Kim) Tumolac of Morrow, Alicia Morris, Rebecca Todd, and Rachel Todd; brother Bob Malott; nephews Chad Malott, Kenny Strouth, and Steve Strouth; nieces Pam Gustin, Teresa Gustin, and Carol Lamb; great-niece Emma Mote; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 11am until time of services at 1pm, all the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery, Pastor Steve Tufts officiating.
