Obituary of Frank Dalton

DALTON, Frank "Red" age 92 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Ohio Living Quaker Heights Care Community. Red was born April 13, 1927 in Ashmore, Illinois, the son of Charles and Mary (nee: Adams) Dalton. Red served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. Red worked for many years as a Superintedant at Lebanon Correctional Institution. He enjoyed spending time outdoors working on old boats and tractors, working in his garden and going camping. He also enjoyed playing cards at the VFW, although he hated loosing, even when it was usually only a dollar or so. Preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 71 years Bernice Z (nee: Urton) Dalton; brothers Mort, Junior, and Herbert; and his sister Dorothy. Red leaves behind sons Steve Dalton and Dale Dalton; grandchildren Bryan Dalton, Rodney Dalton, Jennifer Thiebert, and Stephanie Brooke Halpin; great-grandchildren Avery, Atticus, Simone, Collett, Sidney, Luke and Levi; great-greatgrandchildren Braxon and Averie, as well as many other family members and friends. The Family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2020 from 11:30 until time of services at 12:30, all the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home, Pastor Sam Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
