Obituary of Phyllis Maxine Wyatt

WYATT, Phyllis Maxine (nee: Goodpaster) age 87 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Ohio Living Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville, Ohio. Phyllis was born February 11, 1932 in Mason, Ohio to Wilbur and V. Irene (nee: Tarvin) Goodpaster. Phyllis was active in the Lebanon community throughout her life. She worked at both the Ford and AMC dealerships in Lebanon. Phyllis worked as a secretary at Lebanon City School for 30 years, where she knew almost every student who passed through the halls and always had a friendly smile and a kind word. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, as well as member of the Lebanon Garden Club, Tourism Board, and coached softball in her younger years. Phyllis was a long time member of the Lebanon Community Services and a founding member of the Lebanon Food Pantry. Many in Lebanon will remember her from her tireless work at the Food Pantry, as well as heading up the yearly Christmas Food Basket program for those in need in the community. In her down time, she loved to travel, especially to Florida.

Preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Frank Wyatt, Phyllis leaves behind her children James Michael "Mike" Wyatt of Waynesville, Ohio and Krista R. (Linda) Wyatt of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Derek Wyatt, Heather Wyatt, Mindy Barnthouse, and Marcy Marriott; great-grandchildren Kendra Ferguson, Reagan Ferguson, Kelly Jones, Seth Barnthouse, Devin Marriott, and Lillian Marriott; as well as many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 3pm until time of services at 6pm, all at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home, Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial will be private in Lebanon Cemetery.
