Obituary of Dorsey "Woody" Hopkins

HOPKINS, Dorsey "Woody" age 84 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully November 26, 2019 while in Florida.  Born June 27, 1935 in Logville, Kentucky, Woody was the son of Clarence and Clemmie Ray (nee Hall) Hopkins and was a retired millwright  from General Motors in Norwood, Ohio.   Woody was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and a charter member of the White Oak Saddle Club.  Woody loved and raised Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Saddle horses.   Woody was a member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755 in Kentucky and Scottish Rite & Shriners of Dayton.  Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cheryl Ann Hopkins; brother Perry and sister Judy Gustin; Woody leaves behind his loving wife Sandra Hopkins; sons Steven (Ann) of Louisville, Kentucky and Gregory Michael Hopkins of South Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Peggy Lee of Tennessee; brothers Benny (Marta) and Clarence, Jr. all of Kentucky and Wayne (Pat) of Florida; grandchildren Brandy, Deanna, Katy, Coty, Brandon and Matthew; six great-grandchildren and many other family member and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, December 5, 2019 from 5pm until 7pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11am with Pastor Gary Blair officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.
