Obituary of Lester Singleton

SINGLETON, Lester age 98 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2019 at his home. Lester was born March 31, 1921 in Clay County, Kentucky, the son of John D. and Mandy (nee: Gabbard) Singleton. Lester worked as a home builder for many years, and after he retired enjoyed building dog houses, building hundreds of them over the years. He also loved to fish, and enjoyed reading his bible. Lester was a long time member of Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon, Ohio.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Flora (nee: Gabbard) Singleton; son Russell Singleton; daughter Penny Green; brothers Raymond and Sterling; and sisters Thelma, Mildred and Etta Mae. Lester leaves behind sons Charles (Karen) Singleton of Morrow, Ohio and Donis (Carol) Singleton of Maineville, Ohio; brother Mitchell (Glenda) Singleton; sister Della Singleton; grandchildren John D. Singleton, Kyle Green, and Phyllis Ross; great-grandchildren Christy Jones, Christopher Bowman and Amaya Green; 6 great-great grandchildren as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 05, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm at the Full Gospel Church of God. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 06, 2019 at 11am at the church, Pastor Larry Issacs officiating. Interment will follow in Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon, Ohio.
