Mike was the big brother I'd always wished for. It's so hard to say what is in one's heart - as an awkward teenage girl growing up - when my my sister brought him into our family - he captured my heart as well - he made me feel important, valued and part of something bigger. Also he was a partner in pranks and jokes - nobody could tease or get you going like "Big Mike". As a young married woman - who'd lost several children to miscarriage - he and Patty shared their two wonderful sons with Bob and I. They are so much more than nephews. He bought me a beautiful Siberian husky pup to hold - and to help me grieve. I'll never forget him - I'll treasure him always and I look forward to the day when our whole family can be together. I am truly thankful for God putting him in our lives.
