Obituary of Ruby Faye Raleigh

RALEIGH, Ruby Faye (nee Byrd) age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Florentine Gardens in Loveland, Ohio.  Born November 14, 1939, in Clay County, Kentucky, Ruby was the daughter of Clyde and Minnie (nee Singleton) Byrd and was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.  Ruby retired from Durkee-French Foods where she was assistant personnel director.  Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, sister Gladene, and brothers Clyde Anthony, William, and Joseph.  Ruby leaves behind her sister Henrietta and nieces Tami and Jennifer.

Ruby was a longstanding member of South Lebanon First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a  member of the choir.  Ruby’s contagious smile and sense of humor will be missed by her family and many friends.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, September 6, 2019, from 6 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home, with Pastor David Frasure of South Lebanon First Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 12 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery in Alexandria, Kentucky.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to South Lebanon First Baptist Church.
