Obituary of Rodney Wayne Byrd

BYRD, Rodney Wayne age 75  of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Bethesda North Hospital.  Born January 25, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Wayne was the son of Herbert and Lucy (nee Fields) Byrd and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Wayne was a graduate of University of Cincinnati School of Pharmacy and had worked previously with the Target Pharmacy.  Wayne was also a Deacon with the First Baptist Church in South Lebanon, Ohio.   During his spare time, Wayne enjoyed Reds baseball, UC Sports, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Byrd; Wayne leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Joyce (nee Anderson) Byrd; daughters Mendy (Andy) Ringer; Tracy (Blake) Jamison, Lindsay (Zack Barker) Kallmeyer, Emily Kimmet and Bobbie Jan (Donald) Montgomery; brothers Victor (Virginia) Byrd and Ronald (Roberta) Byrd; sister Phyllis (Ron) Covey; grandchildren Savannah, Logan, Darby, Trinity, Addison, Payton, Joelene and Silas and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, September 5, 2019 from 6pm until 8pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon.  Funeral services will be held at the church Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2pm with Pastor Dave Frasure and Will Langford officiating.
