Obituary of Marvin W. Humphreys
HUMPHREYS, Marvin W. age 99 of Huber Heights, Ohio and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Landings of Huber Heights. Born January 30, 1920 in Oakland City, Indiana, Marvin was the son of Edwin and Maggie (nee Holmes) Humphreys and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Marvin was a proud US Army Veteran of World War II and had worked for Addison Steel in Albany, Georgia and later for Dave Steel in Lebanon, Ohio. Marvin was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Marvin enjoyed fishing, painting, gardening and TV repair. He loved to create and never wanted to stop learning. Preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Odelia Rose Humphreys in 2006, Marvin was the last of five children, brothers Guy and Robert Humphreys and sisters Gladys Kelch and Phyllis Niehard. Marvin leaves behind his two children Randy (Claudia) Humphreys of Lebanon, Ohio and Marlene (Melvin "Butch") Leffel of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren David (Naomi) Humphreys, Angel (Jason) Leffel-Luff and Todd Leffel; great grandchildren Palmer Rose Luff, Anna Humphreys, Tiffany Leffel O'Brien, Blake and Bailee Leffel and Breanna Leffel and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 11am until time of service at 1pm all at Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
