Obituary of Russell Byerly
BYERLY, Russell Jr age 88 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, July 22, 2019 at his home. Russell was born September 10, 1930 in Plain City, Ohio to Russell Sr and Ida Mae (nee: Cross) Byerly. Russell served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Russell enjoyed spending time fishing and was also a softball coach, coaching for the Bad News Bears in Cincinnati. Russell was a graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Ag. Econ.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lowell Byerly, sister Helina Craig, brother-in-law Dick Craig, and sister-in-law Ann Byerly. Russell leaves behind his loving wife Darlene (nee: Kennard) Byerly of Lebanon, Ohio; daughters Debra (Dave) Brenner of Zanesville, Ohio, Barb Byerly of Grove City, Ohio, and Denise (Joe) Wilson of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Alyson Hollis, Jason Brenner, Paul Kissel, and Tori Wilson; great-granddaughter Ellery Brenner; nephew Keeton Byerly; nieces Cheryl Byerly and Pam (Jerry) Hartman; as well as many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 27, 2019 from Noon until time of services at 1pm, all at the Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home, Pastor Tracy Dowd officiating. Interment to follow in Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio.
