Obituary of Daisie Lee Sparks

SPARKS, Daisie Lee (nee: Farthing) age 85, of South Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky, widow of Richard T. Sparks, passed away on the 22nd day of July, 2019.

Daisie was born in Estill County, Kentucky on March 31st, 1934, a daughter of Charles J. O. Farthing and  Della Mae (nee: Walton) Farthing. She attended the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon and was a previous member of the River Drive Christian Church in Irvine, Kentucky. Daisie loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds and spending time with friends and family. 

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Johnetta Warren, her parents, two sisters, Norma Jean Young and Gloria Mae Farthing, five brothers, Charles Jr., Steven, Peter, Guy, and Charles (aka Sonny) Farthing.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Warner of Winchester, Kentucky and Kathy Bowman of Lebanon, Ohio, four grandchildren Mary Lee, Harold (aka Bub), Carey, and Rebecca, 11 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday,  July 25, 2019 from 5pm until time of services at 7pm, all at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, Ohio. A graveside service will follow on Friday July 26, 2019 at 12 Noon at the Walton Family Cemetery in Estill County, Kentucky. Arrangements are made by Stine Funeral Home, Lebanon, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, in memoriam of Daisie.
