Obituary of Robert Edwin Carter

CARTER, Robert Edwin age 86 of Lebanon, Ohio formerly of Lexington and Danville, Kentucky passed away peacefully Monday, July 08, 2019 at his home. Robert was born January 11, 1933 in Springfield, Illinois to Earl William and Minnie (nee: Wolfe) Carter. Robert was a US Army Veteran serving from 1954 until 1956, he was a graduate of Illinois State University with Bachelors and Masters Degrees and had PhD from Indiana University. Robert was a lifelong educator, working both in the classroom and as an administrator. Robert loved to spend time with his family and loved to take photographs.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Marilyn (nee: Crabtree) of Lebanon, Ohio; brother William (Lou Alice) Carter; son Greg (Meri-Ellyn) Carter of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Lauren Carter, Dustin (Jaimie) Eubank, and Christopher Carter; great-grandson Oliver Eubank; as well as many other family members and friends.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
