Obituary of John Alton Wamsley

WAMSLEY, John Alton age 55 of Venice, Florida passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Atrium Medical Center. John was born January 11, 1964 in Wilmington, Ohio to Clifton and Patricia (nee: Moore) Wamsley. John was Freemason and a former Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. John loved sports, especially Ohio State, the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds and anything Lebanon School Sports. John enjoyed bowling and even had a 300 game, liked to fish and loved playing cornhole. He also loved to spend time with his grandkids and taking trips to Disney World.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Martin and Samuel Wamsley; sister Krista Wamsley; and brother-in-law Robert Wilson. John is survived by his son Tyler (Shaina) Wamsley of Cleveland, Ohio; daughters Kayla Wamsley and Sara Wamsley of Franklin, Ohio; brother William “Bill” (Elizabeth) Wamsley of Lakeland, Florida, and Kevin (Denise) Wamsley of Venice, Florida; sister Karla Wilson of Lakeland, Florida; sister-in-law Deb Wamsley of Mason, Ohio; grandchildren Lucas, Natalee, Cyrus, Alec, Brody, Elena and Roman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 1pm until time of services at 3pm, all at the Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home, Pastor Doug Bottles officiating.
