Obituary of Alta Kay Hurt

HURT, Alta Kay (nee: Lindon) age 86 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, June 03, 2019 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born January 01, 1933 in Gillmore, Kentucky to Morton and Rella (nee: Rice) Lindon. Alta was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph, Joe and JC Lindon, and her brother-in-law Marvin Meier. Alta retired from the Franklin City School District where she was a teacher and was an active member of Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio for many years. Alta enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and scrapbooking and enjoyed researching her family history.

Alta is survived by her loving husband Fred Hurt of Lebanon, Ohio, son Timothy (Karen) Hurt of Lebanon, Ohio, daughter Rebecca (Charles) Turner of Lebanon, Ohio, sisters Wanda (Gerald) Mayberry of Kingsport, Tennessee, Eula Jean Meier of Madison, Wisconsin, and Carolyn (Jim) Roten of Beavercreek, Ohio, grandchildren Stephen (Michelle) Bellamy, Nicole Han, Megan (Craig) Laughlin, Eric Hurt, Ryan Turner, and Kaitlyn (Jeff) Kries, great-grandchildren Krista Schaeffer, Faith Schaeffer, Gabriella Bellamy, Madilyn Han, and Emily Laughlin, as well as many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 06, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow Friday, June 07, 2019 at 11 am at Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio. Interment to follow in Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, Ohio.
