Obituary of Gerald Russell Vitek

VITEK, Gerald Rusell "Jerry," age 87 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Cedarview Healthcare. Born February 01, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Martin and Mae (nee: Augustus) Vitek, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan (nee: Harper) Vitek, and brother Martin Vitek Jr.

Jerry served his country proudly in the United States Army, was a member of Masonic Lodge #656 F&AM in Mason, Ohio, the Shriner's Antioch Temple of Dayton, the Landen Deerfield Theatre Group and of Lakeview United Church of Christ. Jerry is survived by his children Kim (Joanne) Vitek, Cheryl Andrea Vitek, and Bret (Lisa) Vitek; grandchildren Jennifer (Adam) Waller, Kelli Vitek (Andrew Hager), Tara (Gerald McElroy), Joshua, and Jered Vitek, Mac (Emily) Clenney and Maggie Clenney and Dalton (Margherita) Steadman, and Dayton; great-grandchildren Addison and Delaney Waller, Grace McElroy, Jonathan, Jacob, and Alexis Vitek, Katie McElroy, Rose Savage, Maison Hager and Austin Hager ; and great-great-granddaughter Harper.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 08, 2019 from 5pm until time of services at 7pm. A Masonic Service and a Shriner's Service will occur prior to the Memorial Services, Greg Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
