I just found out of Laura’s passing and this saddens me so much. I was an estranged friend of Laura’s and I still think of her often. My prayers are with her family and loved ones that she left behind. I am comforted by knowing she is finally at peace with God now.

Laura was my friend, neighbor & fellow Female Army Veteran. We meet at the Veterans Resource Center prior to us moving to the same apartment complex. We spoke often of our journeys through life. She was so smart & interesting. I'm a bit older so her felt like a niece. I Wish Your Entire Family My Deepest Sympathy.

I knew Laura very well, She practically spent most of her free time at my house that was outside of POST rather than at the barracks. I was attending EOD school as well. The difference was that I was coming as prior MOS qualified soldier and she was coming from the civilian life;so she had more restrictions. We both graduated (She did it earlier than me) .Once we met in Iraq, I was with the 764th EOD Company and she was with the 38th EOD Company, I believe. We met at Red Stone Arsenal in Alabama, she went to FL before me. We were goof friends and I kept contact with her through the years. I knew of her low points and once I suggested that she quit alcohol, to which she hang up the phone. But after some time (like almost two years) we reconnected. I truly loved her as a friend and her departure from this world makes me feel so very sad. I offer my most sincere condolences to her family and I wish that she forever rests in peace. Until Valhalla beautiful friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Lauras passing. I enjoyed having her as an art student.We spent a lot of time talking about reading and our love of books. Laura was a bright and adventurous young woman. I was proud of her service to our country. My prayers are with all of you.
