Obituary of Hershel James Stollings

STOLLINGS, Hershel James, age 84 of South Lebanon passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday January 09, 2019. Born September 01, 1934 in Pike County, Kentucky to Hi and Bernie (nee Thacker) Stollings, Hershel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frennie and Irvin Stollings, and sisters Pearl Smith and Magdaline Hensley.

Hershel retired from General Electric after 37 years of employment. He was a faithful member of Northern New Home Church of Goshen, Ohio where he volunteered many hours, and was an avid woodworker. Hershel is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alfreda (nee Blackburn) Stollings of South Lebanon, Ohio, daughter Kathy (Philip) Nichols, granddaughter Tiffany Nichols, sisters Jewel Scott, Doris Wellman, Adith Young, Mildred Stanley, Alane Hunt and Gale Mollett as well as many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM, all at the Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home. Internment to follow in Deerfield Cemetery.
