Obituary of Gladys Burns

BURNS, Gladys (nee Combs) age 79 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. Born November 2, 1931 in Owsley County, Kentucky, Gladys was the daughter of John and Loucinda (Reynolds) Combs and a loving a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a devoted member of the Dodds Pentecostal Church. Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers Everett, Harlan, Hayden, Stanley and Meredeth Combs, two sisters Mary and Rosa and great-grandson Tyler L. Bailey; Gladys leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years Seldon Burns of Lebanon, Ohio; son Donald (Judy) Burns, daughters Mary (Ritchie) Hines and Brenda Sue (Jerry) Short; sister Ruby Money; grandchildren Donnie L. Burns, Jeremy Short, D. Michell Retallick-Barnett and Jennifer A. Bailey; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Wednesday morning, October 26, 2011 fro, 10:00am until 11:30am at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:30am with Pastor Rex Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon, Ohio.
