Obituary of Bryan M. Shockey

SHOCKEY, Bryan Marco age 87 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Born March 22, 1931 in Rose Fork, Kentucky, Bryan was the son of Alex Raymond and Marie (nee Huff) Shockey and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Bryan retired from Cincinnati Electronics where he worked as an Electrical Engineer and enjoyed gardening (including growing his own tobacco) and playing music - piano, guitar, banjo and fiddle.  Bryan was a member of the Lee City, Kentucky Masonic Lodge.  Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ellen Marie Shockey and brothers Wade and Van Shockey; Bryan leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years Nadine (nee Jordan) Shockey; sons Steven and Edward Shields and Scott Shockey; daughters Susan, Kathy Ann Shockey and Lori Lynn (Tim) Gordon; brothers Robert D. and John Allen Shockey; sister Carol Ingram; grandchildren Tom, Mary, Rachel, Hannah, Ellen and Eli and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.  A Masonic Service is planned for 12:30 followed by funeral services at 1pm.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
