Obituary of Beverly Diegel

Beverly Eileen Diegel, age 86 of Lebanon left this earth Thursday, April 5^th 2018. She spent her last few days surrounded by the ones she loved. Born August 22, 1931, in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Robert and Rosetta (Rider) Richards. She was a graduate of Mendon Union High School in Mercer County and loved to attend the alumni every year. She worked for Warren County in the WIC department until she retired in 1986. Beverly was a member of Zoar United Church for over 45 years where she loved to sing for her Lord and Savior.

As a last gift, Beverly donated her body to University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Medical Education so that others may benefit from the research. She loved her family and friends with the biggest of hearts.

Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 59 years, Dillon, daughters, Kim (Ron) Volmering, Nita (Bill) Slaven and son, Tom (Mel) Diegel all of Lebanon.  Grandchildren, Jeremy (Leslie) Slaven, Joe (Erica) Slaven, Jaimie (Alex) Smith, Derek (Trisha) Volmering, Dillon, Tristan Diegel and the late grandsons Jacob and Joshua Diegel. Great Grandchildren Jonathan, William, Elliana, Isabella, Sawyer, Alyssa, Aaron and pending baby Slaven, Sisters, the late Loretta (Harry) Squires of Michigan, Sharon McGee of Celina, precious neighbors and dear friends for many years, Ronnie and Sue Oeder.

A gathering will be held at Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home in Lebanon, Ohio, April 28, 2018, from 12-1:30pm with a brief service starting at 1:30. Officiating will be Pastor Harry Squires (her brother-in-law) from East Gilead Missionary Church in Coldwater Michigan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45243.
