Obituary of Carolyn Bess

BESS, Carolyn "Katie" age 70 of South Lebanon passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. Born July 24, 1947 in South Lebanon, Ohio. Katie was the daughter of Millard and Florence (nee Cole) Sandlin. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister and grandmother. Katie enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Edward; brother Carl Sandlin; sisters Juanita (late Edward) Younker and Lois Gross. Katie leaves behind sons Ed (Kim) Bess of Lebanon, Tennessee; Eric Bess of Midland, Ohio, Evan (AMy) Bess of Franklin, Ohio and Erinn Bess of South Lebanon; sister Loretta (Archie) Spradling of South Lebanon, Ohio; sister-in-law Evelyn Sandlin of Blanchester, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9am until 10:30am with service to follow at 10:30am at Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio. Donations may be made in Katie's memory to the charity of your choice.
