Obituary of Rufus Collins

Collins, Rufus age 77 of Middletown, Ohio passed peacefully at River Oaks Care Center. Born August 28, 1940 in Leslie County, Kentucky. Rufus was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Rufus was the son of Willam and Martha (nee Couch) Collins. He was a member of the VFW Post #3809 in Middletown, Ohio and also enjoyed spending time with his family in his favorite home in Tennessee. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings Jessie Fields, Bertha Jones, Gladys Couch, Betsy Guernsey, William Collins, Marcus Collins and Steve Collins. Rufus leaves behind his beloved wife Ellen (nee Walters); daughter Carol (Mark) Heil; son Keith Collins; granddaughters Lily Collins and Megan Heil; sisters Marie Sizemore of Lily, Kentucky, Velma Cox and Lillie Gibson both of Florida; brother Bennie Collins of London, Kentucky; brothers-in-law David (Lois) Walters, Harold Guernsey and many caring nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 11am-1pm at Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. Burial to follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
