Pat, We are so sad, and wish we could be there to give our hugs and love. Our campfires and fishfries will never be the same. He was always fun to be around , and remember his and Dave's yells at each other in the morning when they stepped outside every morning, sounded like two peacocks glad to see each other!
Love and prayers,
Dave and Linda Light

Not sure even where to begin I would like to start by giving my condolences to the family and all the lives that Richard has touched. He was my neighbor for seven years but I've known him my whole life he always treated me as if I was one of his grandchildren, he would always tell me how proud he was of me, which meant a lot coming from him! He was always so nice to my boys He would offer them to come sit in the garage with him and drink pop, they enjoyed that. If I ever needed anything all I needed to do was run across the street. Even though we have since moved and have been moved for a year I still consider him my neighbor and I always will. RIP RICHARD you will be horribly missed.

Pat - Deepest condolences for you and your family over Richard. I'd known him since my first memories in Mason, OH. Our families journeyed to New York together so many years ago, experienced the dairy life and returned. Richard was always the jovial one with a contagious smile and chuckle, and always enjoying some treat or pie at Mom and Dad's when visiting. He always called me Big E and I can hear it echoing from years gone by... God Bless you Richard!

We are so sad to hear of Richard passing, and will always remember how kind and thoughtful he was. We lived across the street from him for a long time and I can't count the amount of times we would come home and he would be out there with a kind word or a smile and a wave. No matter how rough a day it was He always made us feel better. I will miss our long talks at the curb about cars, tractors and our kids. He and Patsy always made us feel like family and that is something I will never forget. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. From our family to yours we are so sorry for your loss and we are praying for you all.

So sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. We always considered ourselves shirt tail cousins as his brother was married to my aunt. Will miss him and his always upbeat manner. A great guy that I had the privilege of calling “my friend”:

Patsy and Family, Mark and I treasure our times with you and Richard. We knew him to be happy, always looking for the best donuts and biscuits and gravy around and loving to be with family and friends. We will miss seeing him on our trips to Ohio. May he rest in peace. Sending our love to you, Patsy.

great men are not measured by their collection of material goods..but rather by the size of their heart, the length of their humility, the depth of their souls, the sincerity of their infectious smile, their never ending kindness , the love they so unselfishly share and
mostly by the people they touch throughout their lives. By all of these measures and more Richard Bartlett was truly a great man who truly enriched the lives of those around him. I personally will sorely miss that incredible smile and firm, warm, handshake and welcoming heart. The world is a lesser place without him.
Please accept our sincere and deepest sympathy to all family and Friends.
