Obituary of Harold Edward Bowers

Bowers, Harold Edward age 74 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away February 15, 2018 at Lebanon Country Manor with his family by his side. Born December 15, 1943 in Lebanon, Ohio. Harold was the son of Walter and Roberta (nee Williams) Powers and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Harold was a member of First Baptist Church for almost 50 years and a member of Urbancrest Baptist Church for almost 15 years. He enjoyed coaching his sons' ball team, playing softball, coaching and playing softball, teaching CPR/First Aid classes, bowling and playing golf with his sons. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. most of all he loved watching his grandchildren's sports games. He enjoyed being a Sunday School Teacher for many years as well as a youth leader and boy scout leader.  He was a proud Vietnam Navy veteran. He had quite a few careers he was proud of; serving 25 years the Warren County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. He also served on Turtlecreek and Lebanons' Fire Departments. For 10 years Harold drove a bus for Kings Schools. Preceded in death by his parents. Harold leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife 47 years Beverly (nee Middleton) Bowers, sons Ted (Marissa) Bowers and Scott (Lauren) Bowers; daughter Barbara (David) Haley; granchildren Tammy (Steven) Vantrease, Amanda Haley, Hope Bowers, Brennan Bowers, Ahen Bowers, Amara Bowers and Bryce Bowers; great-grandchildren Bentley Vantrease, Gabriella Vantrease, Jaxon Vantrease and one great-grandson due in March and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Urbancrest Baptist Church of Lebanon, Ohio.
