Obituary of Cecile J. Thomas

THOMAS, Cecile J. (nee Payne) age 73 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully at home Wedensday, December 20, 2017 with her family by her side.  Born August 14, 1944 in Twila, Kentucky, Cecile was the daughter of Ernest and Shirley Leo (nee Calloway) Payne and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Cecile was a graduate of Wallins High School in Harlan County, Kentucky and was a member of the Lebanon VFW Post 6069 Ladies Auxillary and Gold Star Wives of America Miami Valley Chapter.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband CW04 David Thomas, USN and sister Eula E. Fischer; Cecile leaves behind her loving children Michael (Valery) Thomas of Dearing, Georgia and LeAnn (David) Powers of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers Luther (Terry) Payne of Wisconsin and Ronald (Margaret) Payne of Florida; sisters Janice (Andy) Maluke of Florida and Norma Hensley of North Carolina; grandson Logan Powers, special niece Brenda (Rick) Bennett of Miamisburg, Ohio and special nephew Johnni Thomas of Miamisburg, Ohio; and boyfriend Lilburn Powers of Cincinnati, Ohio and many other family members and friends.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 10am until 12noon at the Stine Kilbur Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12noon with Pastor Larry Isaacs officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
