Obituary of James E. Millard

MILLARD, James E. age 79 of HIllsboro, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Chillicothe VA Meidcal Center surrounded by his loving family.  Born December 27, 1937 in Warren County, Ohio, James was the son of E. Freeman and Clara (nee Beatty) Millard and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  James served his country proudly in the US Air Force and was a retired Flight Engineer.  During his spare time, James enjoyed playing golf, driving his RV, bowling, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.  James was a VFW Member and a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Preceded in death by his parents, brother Henry A. Millard and granddaughter Sara Elswick; James leaves behind his loving wife Joyce (nee Cole) Millard of Hillsboro, Ohio; sons Timothy (Fay) Millard and Jay (Jill) Millard of Richmond, Kentucky; daughters Natalie (Joe) Stegemoller of Miamisburg, Ohio, Annette (Jerry) Kitchins of Bountiful, Utah, Melinda (Art) Elswick of Franklin, Ohio and Cathy Millard of Franklin, Ohio; brother Charles (Lou) Millard of Austin, Texas; sister Joan (Bob) Crowe of Oregonia, Ohio and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The family will accept friends Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 10am until time of service at 12pm all at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville, Ohio.
