Obituary of Harry Smith

SMITH, Harry Lee age 86 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday morning, July 15, 2012 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County surrounded by his family. Born February 21, 1926 in Hillsboro, Ohio, Harry was the son of Earl and Neta (Locke) Smith and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Harry was a carpenter by trade having retired from Shook Construction, a member of Destiny Church, a member of Carpenters Union #136, an Amateur Ham Radio Operator (call signs: N8JJE & W8HS) and a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, son Roger in 1994, grandson Michael E. Smith, Jr., sister Etta Faye Huff and brothers Earl, John, Bud and James Smith; Harry leaves behind his loving wife Betty (Young) Smith of Lebanon, Ohio; son Mike (Patty) Smith of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren John (Bekki) Smith, Jason (Jennifer) Smith, Angie (Josh) Blackmore, Rita Jones and Jeremy Smith; great-grandchildren Tyler Smith, Jared Smith, Ethan Blackmore, Mary Smith, Zach Smith and Lucas Blackmore; sisters Eleanor Hildebrand, Armetha Reed and Emma Puckett and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
