Obituary of James Marlin Rish

RISH, James M. age 76 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Dayton VA Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family.  Born January 17, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, James was the son of Jack Romain and Mary Kathryn (nee Hill) Rish and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  James was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and  a retired Corrections Officer from the Lebanon Correctional Institute.  James was a longtime resident of Lebanon, Ohio and enjoyed NASCAR, inventing things and spending time with his family.  James was well known for his generous and caring nature and opening his home to other children.  Preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sandra K. Rish in 2015, James leaves behind his children Jack (Katie Wilder) Rish, Amanda Rish, Laura Richardson and Cynthia Rish-Cottie; sisters Deborah Shaffer and Rachel Hartz; grandchildren Caleb, Aidan, Ethan, Lucas, Avery, Ayedrian, Robbie, Cameron and Bryson and one great-grandchild Jayden.  The family will accept friends Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.  A celebration of life with be held at the funeral home at 1pm with burial with Military Honors to follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
