Obituary of Cletus B. Anderson
ANDERSON, Cletus B. age 87 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away July 29, 2017. Born January 22, 1930 in Williams, Minnesota, he was the son of John and Cora (Hedtke) Anderson and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Clete graduated from Bemidji State University in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Science. He received his Master of Science at Washington State in 1967 in Science Education. As an advid lifelong learner, he also took courses at St. Cloud State University, University of Iowa and the University of Alaska. He also received an AAS in Computer Science in 1983 from North Dakota State School of Science. He was a retired teacher who taught science and math for 25 years at Falls Jr. High School in International Falls, MN and computer science for 6 years at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, VA. In his retirement, he remained active in the community and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was the president of the Clifton Forge Kiwanis and president and board member of the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former deacon of the First Lutheran Church in International Falls, MN. He was a talented woodworker who loved playing piano, traveling, spending time with family and fishing in Lake of the Woods. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Roberta (nee Wilkowski) Anderson of Lebanon, Ohio, son Bob Anderson and wife Pam of Baltimore, MD., daughter Sue Hutchens and husband Mark and grandsons Sean and Sam Hutchens all of Lebanon, Ohio. Services will be private.
