Obituary of Evelyn Roberts

ROBERTS, Evelyn (nee Stephens) age 88 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Born May 22, 1929 in Madison County, Kentucky.  Evelyn was the daughter of James and Fairy Mae (nee Lamb) Stephens.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  Many will remember Evelyn for her years of employment at Haines, with Big Bear in Lebanon, and also from Evelyn's Laundromat.  Evelyn enjoyed singing hymns, listening to George Jones and Patsy Cline, playing the guitar and piano, and spending time with her loving family and friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Katie Pearl, brothers Junior, Donald, and Ermon Stephens, son Donald McGrath, and grandson Timothy Jay Roberts.  Evelyn leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years Harold Roberts of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Kevin (Linda) Roberts of Lebanon, Chris (Debby) Roberts of New Vienna, Robert (Terri) McCatherine of Jamestown, Randy (Margaret) Roberts of Wilmington, and Rodney (Suzanne) Roberts of Waynesville; daughters Judy Weis of Lebanon and Rhonda (Doug) Howard of Blanchester; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening June 14, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1pm with Reverend Orville Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Springboro Cemetery.
