Obituary of Robert Girard

GIRARD, Robert A. age 86 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Beavercreek, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born November 19, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, Robert was the son of Arthur and Rose (Kroenenberger) Girard and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Robert was a 1943 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1950 graduate of the University of Dayton where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business. Robert was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II and worked as an accountant in the Dayton, Ohio area for more than 40 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert leaves behind his loving wife Patricia (Janning) Girard of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Thomas (Ann), Stephen, Kevin and Jeffrey (Sherry) Girard; daughters Suzanne (John Swartz) Girard, Carolyn (Richard) Portmann and Nina (Jeffrey) Nadolny; brother Thomas Girard; sister Kathleen Gauby; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Friday evening, July 6, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday morning, July 7, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Francis DeSales Church in Lebanon, Ohio with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Kettering, Ohio.
