Obituary of Phillip Johnson
JOHNSON, Phillip age 64 of Clarksville, Ohio passed peacefully April 25, 2017 at Clinton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born February 9, 1953 in Oneida, Kentucky, Phillip was the son of Oakie and Rosa (nee Bishop) Johnson and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Phillip served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and later served as a police officer in the villages of Morrow, Ohio, Maineville, Ohio and Hamilton Township. During his spare time, Phillip enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting, motorcycling and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Rondall , sister Della Jean Poindexter and brother-in-laws Jim Callahan and Alvis Crow; Phillip leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Rhonda (nee Barnett) Johnson; sons Shane Johnson and Nathaniel (Flora) Johnson; daughter Edcelina (Don) Pitts; brothers Orbas, Michael, Randall, Carl and Oakie, Jr.; sisters Geralding (Leon) Burch, Josephine (Ron) Johnson, Irene Callahan, Christine Crow, Dorothy Lydon and Saytha Muse; brother-in-law Tom Poindexter; grandchildren Miriah Johnson, Marissa Bower, Sarah Pitts, Theresa Pitts, Don "DJ" Pitts, Jr., Alyson Johnson, Anna Johnson and Gianna Johnson; two great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1pm at the Maineville Cemetery, Maineville, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to Homeless Veterans or Right to Life.
