Obituary of Cora Roark

ROARK, Cora (nee Shepherd) age 89 of Lewisburg and formerly of South Lebanon, Ohio, passed peacefully Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her residence in Lewisburg. Born December 20, 1927 in Leslie County, Kentucky, Cora was the daughter of Oscar and Nell (Collett) Shepherd and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Cora enjoyed her church family at West Alexandria Baptist Church and spending time with her grandchildren who were the love of her life. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 65 years Luther Roark, brother Felix and step father Pearl Asher; Cora leaves behind her loving children Jennifer (Dale) Roark and Larry (Jackie Von Bargen) Roark; grandchildren Larry Dale Roark, Karmen (Doug) Arnett, Jason Kerby and Chastity (Mike) Grear; great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. Calling hours Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:30am until 12:30pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12:30pm with Taylor Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
