Obituary of Doris Ziegenhardt

ZIEGENHARDT, Doris N. (Nee Nelson) age 90 of Mason, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 30, 2012 at West Chester Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born June 26, 1922 in Columbus, Nebraska, Doris was the daughter of Reuben Peter and Mary (Sheldon) Nelson and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Doris was a member of the St. Suzanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio and was well known for her typing and communication skills, her love of playing bingo and for the thousands of cookies she baked every Christmas. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward F. Ziegenhardt in 1997; sons Jimmy and Johnny Ziegenhardt and sisters Jean Nelson, her twin Dorothy Williams and Mary Ellen Nelson; Doris leaves behind her loving children Francine (Walt) Mitchell of Maineville, Ohio, Frank (Vicki) Ziegenhardt of Peebles, Ohio and Fred (Darlene) Ziegenhardt of Mason, Ohio; brother Chauncey Nelson of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren Tom (Lucia), Zach, Iris, Hannah, Melissa, Doug (Becky), Michelle, Angela (Kyle), Amy (Noe), Rhonda (Phil), Kris (Alex); great-grandchildren Olivia, Chelsea, Austin, Johnnie, Dougie, Daniel, Derek, Dylan, Brooke, Tristan, Ian, Emma, Kiki, Leslie and Kelsey and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7:30pm. The family has requested that memorial donations be directed to the Otterbein Adult Day Care, 585 North State Route 741, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
