Obituary of Glafira Juris

JURIS, Glafira age 101 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Franklin Ridge Nursing Center with her family by her side. Born April 7, 1915 in Valga, Estonia, Glafira was the daughter of Hugo and Helena (Wisnapuu) Laats and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Galleria left Estonia in September of 1944 and arrived in the United States in November of 1949. Galleria was a retired bookkeeper with the City of Akron, Ohio and enjoyed needlework, knitting and reading. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Voldemar Juris in 1987, daughter Ida Elaine Bennett in 2009 and granddaughter Tammy Elaine Cooper; Glafira leaves behind her loving daughter Vivi Rogers of Byrdstown, Tennessee; sister Armilda Laats of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Russell J. Owensby, Kenneth R. (Barbara) Owensby and Christina Hong; great-grandchildren Brandy Cosari, Elizabeth Owensby, Nicholas Owensby, Crystal Lucas, Robert J. Lucas, Anastasia Owensby and Soren Hong. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
