Ruth, Alan and Family:
I was saddened to read of Richard's passing this past week. I often wondered how he was doing after your family moved from your home in Union, Ohio. In fact, I thought of him about 2-weeks ago. As you may remember, we who worked with him in real estate sales had a nickname for him, "Grumpy Gottle" because he usually had a frown, though we knew he was happy and enjoyed being around people. Bill Sammons, Richard and I enjoyed companionship for a number of years in the early 1980's and I still have fond memories of those times together.
May God comfort and keep you now and in the future.

Ruth and Alan,
We are thinking of and praying for you and your family. Dicky-Bird was dear to all of us. His laugh and playful banter always made me smile. What I loved about him the most was his loyalty to the life-long friendship he had with my dad. The two of them didn't agree all of the time, but they always cared for one another like brothers, and for that I am truly grateful.

Ruth and family -
Blair and I are so very sorry to hear of your loss. I have so many great childhood memories of Thanksgiving on the farm as a kid, and the warmth and welcome of occasional stays at your home during school. While we're far away, family ties run farther.
